watch from every angle
what is seen yet unseen by the sane

they witness laughter amisdt deciet and tears
smearing through lumber slits of pain

see crack valves piling by the flowers
as brutality is sketched on faces by crooked cops

sitting silently as opened mind discovers grown ups
dressing up in layers of clothes finding shelter in a
cardboard box

Innocent eyes

watching the daily news piercing through glass walls
they see stabbings, muggings and abductions outside
window panes

as indecent exposuring of promiscurity and drunkedness
scream in echoing volumes within its tiny little brain

Innocent eyes

have become the mirrored blueprint of this world's destruction
that is planned and rehearsed in the form of 'rumored' wars

and all that those eyes have seen is the torchlight of death
that we keep lighting and passing on

Innocent eyes

seeking answers to questions unasked
to make sense of the corruption seen each day

Those saddened eyes are disappointingly watching us
as they cry aloud....for someone to make this hurt go away....
