Voiced their opinions Through marches, rallies and sit-ins >From South Africa, The Mother Land To the USA, my homeland To embrace freedom and equality And to change society, politically The message was so clear That our rights we should not fear But embrace what is already ours With unity, strength and Black power 3 Men Who spoke of racial harmony? Working to build a better country Had visions of a peaceful society Martin, Malcolm and Nelson Strong Black men With determination and fire Showed our people the path we must journey, and where we have been In a world Without racial harmony 400 years later Still fighting for freedom and equality From East West North and South You could hear The sounds of their mouths In Zimbabwe And Somalia Botswana And Zambia Nelson Mandella South African President Sat in a prison for 27 years Because of his views and stands, watched by his peers To awaken One bright morning free Free of injustice Embraced by the light of solidarity African Americans Women and Men Will strive to reach our goals The future is bright, and we know where we have been 3 Men With visions Made a decision To fight for what they believe in They took their countries And looked deep inside They seen the Racism, the Abuse >From Hatred to Apartheid Martin, Malcolm and Nelson Strength, determination and bravery Fought for the dignity and pride of their ancestry To preserve our Freedom and Equality 3 Men |
