Martin Malcolm and Nelson

3 Men
Who fought for freedom?
Voiced their opinions
Through marches, rallies and sit-ins

>From South Africa, The Mother Land
To the USA, my homeland
To embrace freedom and equality
And to change society, politically

The message was so clear
That our rights we should not fear
But embrace what is already ours
With unity, strength and Black power

3 Men
Who spoke of racial harmony?
Working to build a better country
Had visions of a peaceful society

Martin, Malcolm and Nelson
Strong Black men
With determination and fire
Showed our people the path we must journey, and where we have been

In a world
Without racial harmony
400 years later
Still fighting for freedom and equality

From
East West North and South
You could hear
The sounds of their mouths

In Zimbabwe
And Somalia
Botswana
And Zambia

Nelson Mandella
South African President
Sat in a prison for 27 years
Because of his views and stands, watched by his peers

To awaken
One bright morning free
Free of injustice
Embraced by the light of solidarity

African Americans
Women and Men
Will strive to reach our goals
The future is bright, and we know where we have been

3 Men
With visions
Made a decision
To fight for what they believe in

They took their countries
And looked deep inside
They seen the Racism, the Abuse
>From Hatred to Apartheid

Martin, Malcolm and Nelson
Strength, determination and bravery
Fought for the dignity and pride of their ancestry
To preserve our Freedom and Equality
3 Men
