Fear is Irrational Dedicated to the 'redundant' and 'repetitious'. I often hear people quite fearful, saying things like white will marry black, and black will marry white. Citing the Pledge of Allegiance, with hands on their hearts, united we stand and divided we fall. That God loves all people, within Her range of hearing. We are precious in His sight. That our country is not just for some people, but it is for all. That peace, not chaos or war, is the liberty for which we fight. That if men become liberated, they will act like women, and women will act like men. Some even question equality, freedom, and justice for same- sex couples. Saying that Adam will be just like Eve, and Eve will be just like Ben. But, is red blood black or white? Is a male blue, and a female pink? Is a man not always a man, and a woman not always a woman? Should our belief and value systems, we re-think? We are all similar, under the skin. It is color or race that which we spite. It is culture, ethnicity, and orientation that make us different. But would life not be boring, and how rational would we be, if all people were the same? |
