A Cry for Redemption
Can I come,
unchanged in you
to the place of my re-birth?
Or am I destined to forever remain
suffocating on this earth
See, the things I do
no longer please
the way they once used to
So much doubt in heart and head;
little hope to bring me through
So lift me up, make me whole
in a way I have never been

Patrick Kelly was born in 1974 in Boise Idaho to Jerry and Jovina Kelly.
He lived in Boise until the age of 14 at which point he moved to Coeur d'Alene Idaho where he
completed his school life. During high school he met Melissa Jayne Peak who would soon after graduation become
his wife. For the past several years he has lived in North Idaho striving to become the best writer he
possibly can. With the help and support of family and friends his dreams of becoming a published author
became realized in 2003. Since then he has been published in several poetry compilations and won a variety of
poetry awards and accolades. In both 2003 and 2004 the International Library of Poetry has recognized him as one
of the best poets of the year.
