Grandama
She had always been there throughout my life.
From baby's bottle, to finding my wife.
The strongest soul I had ever known;
helped me to develop values of my own.
Her hot syrup waffles started my day,
giving me strength to run out and play.
The old walnut tree and the garden she grew;
Just a few of the memories of the woman I knew.
From the scolding looks
to the loving touch.
My Grandma's gone;
I miss her so much.
Thirty years to the day
of when I was born
she was taken away
and now I shall mourn
all that I'll miss
not having her near.
It is for you Grandma
I shed this tear.
